Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Brentwood stalwart Toscana has a special menu featuring favorite dishes through the years, all offered at 1989 prices. You'll find things like baby artichokes with pecorino cheese and lemon for $10.50; grilled half chicken for $16; and spianch ravioli with radicchio cream sauce, among other classics. [UPDATE: This event has been canceled.] Meet Wolfgang Puck as he signs copies of his new book, Wolfgang Puck Makes It Healthy: Light, Delicious Recipes and Easy Exercises for a Better Life. He should know; he looks amazing these days. Puck will dole out recipes and cooking tips, and there will be a few snacks from the book served by the WP24 team. The event is free, but you'll have to have a book signed to partake in the menu. Books will be available to purchase for $30. 6-8 PM (900 W. Olympic Blvd.; 213-743-8824).

Culver City's monthly happy hour features spiked lemonade at various restaurants and bars throughout the neighborhood tonight. Grab a passport at Melrose Mac or Lundeen's Gifts for a map of specials, get a stamp every time you stop for a lemonade, and turn it in at the Kirk Douglas Theatre for the raffle and live music. Participating lemonade-rs includes Akasha, Cafe Vida, East Borough, Ford's Filling Station, Rush Street and more. 5-9 PM.
Thursday, June 19
Watch bartenders go head to head at Willie Jane in a Chopped-meets-Knife Fight competition tonight. Two guys — head bartedner Derrick Bass and visitor Marcos Tello — sling off, shaker to shaker, creating drinks with mystery ingredients and Selvarey Rum. For $15, bar patrons can taste the drinks and help judges decide a winner. Competition starts at 9:30 PM (1031 Abbot Kinney Blvd.; 310-392-2425).

And if you're craving oysters in Venice, head to Joe's every Friday night for $2 oysters from the Oyster Gourmet, special cocktails and more both in the bar and dining room. Oysters are available beginning at 6 PM (1023 Abbot Kinney Blvd.; 310-399-5811).
Saturday, June 21
Celebrate the new look and cocktail menu at Bigfoot Lodge, Atwater Village's famous outdoors-inspired bar, tonight. There's new seating by the big fireplace, two new front patios and new artifacts like a canoe for decor, and cocktails like the Roasted 'Shmella, Saza-squatch and Oaxacan Campfirle. During the party tonight there will be taxidermy prize giveaways, $5 Jumbleberry Juleps, food from Bigmista's Barbecue, and live music. Doors open at 5 PM, entertainment starts around 9 PM and closing time is 2 AM (3172 Los Feliz Blvd.; 323-662-9227).

Mr. Chow in Malibu extends daily hours for the summer, now open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays from noon-2:30 PM. That means you can go to the beach and then head over for new keep-cool dishes like Shanghai cucumbers, five-spice tofu, sesame chicken salad, and crispy duck over butter lettuce — or vice versa (3835 Cross Creek Rd.; 310-456-7600).
