Bucato used to be closed on Mondays, but now Culver City is open and Evan Funke's porchetta is the star. Now served only once a week, you can get that truly divine roast pork as a sandwich with rosemary focaccia, pesto, a lovely fried egg and arugula, or as a plate. Tuesday, March 4
It’s Mardi Gras today, but it’s also Wagyu Week around town. Katana has specials featuring the incredibly marbled A5-grade Wagyu beef from Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan through Sunday, March 9. Look for dishes like tobanyaki-style meat grilled over hot stones, skewers, and raw cuts for beef sashimi. And Melisse is also featuring Satsuma Wagyu striploin on the Ten menu now through Saturday, March 8.
Wednesday, March 5
Get a sneak peek of the forthcoming Superba Food & Bread at Superba Snack Bar tonight. It’s all hands on deck - executive chef Jason Travi, pastry chef Lincoln Carson, head baker Jonathan Eng, and general manager and beverage director (and 30 Under 30 alum) Ashley Ragovin - for the a la carte dinner. The menu includes pizza with Yukon gold potato, crème fraiche and rosemary; miche toasts topped with avocado and radishes, acorn squash hummos and macron almonds, or testa with hot pepper jelly; not-so-matzo ball soup; black rice salad with cashew and rotisserie pineapple; ember-cooked celery root with lemon brown butter; rotisserie leg of lamb and more. For the lovers of brown spirits, there's a Buffalo Trace whiskey pairing dinner tonight at Cafe del Rey. There's a four-course menu from chef Chuck Abair, including meat-heavy dishes like braised rabbit and wild boar, along with bourbon cocktails. $85 per person. Friday, March 7
Plan Check and Stussy team up for a celebration of street-style and skate culture at the new Fairfax location. Now through Thursday, March 13, you can get the Stussy Pack deal - a D-Lux Soda (Luxardo cherry soda, cognac and St. Germain foam), taco truck fries, a "belly of the beast" burger, and donut holes for $49. Saturday, March 8
This month, the Burger Lounge locations serves up its next game burger - a grass-fed elk patty topped with jicama slaw, crispy pork belly and chipotle aioli. The special joins regular faves like the turkey and quinoa burgers, fresh-cut fries and onion rings (281 S. Beverly Dr.; 11740 San Vicente Blvd.; 213 Arizona Ave.; 8539 W. Sunset Blvd.).

Watch all those Los Angeles Marathon runners trot through West Hollywood while indulging on a bottomless brunch at the Andaz West Hollywood. Play 'sip a Bloody Mary whenever you see a run with the number 2 on their back' or other made-up games - use your imagination - or just relax with as many mimosas as you can muster. A special breakfast menu is also available, including farm-fresh eggs, fruit plates, Belgian waffles, house-baked pastries and more.
