Lola's Serves Its Last Apple Martini in SeptemberBy Lesley Balla | August 19, 2013 By Lesley Balla | August 19, 2013
Loren Dunsworth opened West Hollywood hot spot Lola's in 1996, a mac-and-cheese, boozy brunch and martini mecca known for giving the world the super-sweet apple martini. Word came down that the cocktail bar would close this September, and it looks like the last days will be Labor Day weekend. From Dunsworth's rep: "She's grateful for the success and loyalty of Lola's fans over these last years as Lola's moved from upstart to institution. And as she’s said, when one door closes, another opens." When Lola's door closes on September 8, the Laurel Hardware crew are tentatively taking over the space for a new project.
