More Good Food for the Arclight: Roadside Eats Coming SoonBy Lesley Balla | July 31, 2013 By Lesley Balla | July 31, 2013
The Arclight complex is definitely gaining momentum in the food department. After many failed restaurant tenants, Veggie Grill and Stella Barra now offer great food for movie-goers, with Seattle's Blue C Sushi supposedly opening soon. Another newcomer will be Roadside Eats, a Southern-style sandwich spot from the guys behind Culver City's Rush Street and City Tavern. The menu will "capture the nostalgia" for the roadside counters of chef Dave Northrup's youth, so expect things like Carolina-style pulled pork, barbecued chicken and brisket sandwiches, along with tri tip, shrimp po' boys and fried green tomato sandwiches. Salads run the gamut from watermelon and edamame to baby kale with roasted butternut squash, with vanilla soft serve and fried hand pies for dessert. Sounds like Top Round may have started a trend. Look for the new spot to open for lunch and dinner right behind the Dome later this summer.
