If you're one of those people who gets to the Santa Monica Farmers too late and miss Red Bread's organic bread and baked offerings for the day, you're in luck: the eGrocer and organic bakery finally opened its brick-and-mortar spot in Culver City.
Thanks to that succesful Kickstarter campaign that allowed owners Rose and David Lawrence to put the finishing touches on the bakery, cafe and marketplace, you'll now find all the fresh-baked wild sourdough breads, cookies, galettes, housemade jams and so much more on the menu and shelves. Think: French toast pie (oh my), BLT or gravlax tartines, quiche, tea and pour-over coffee. Rose will also be offering cooking, baking and charcuterie classes in the kitchen.
There's still the bike-powered delivery every Sunday, and you can find the stand at the SM farmers market on Wednesdays. Red Bread opens Wednesday through Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM. Watch the Facebook page for menu changes and specials.
