The Horn Coming to West Hollywood; The Palm Leaving?

There's been some hubbub surrounding The Palm in West Hollywood, the original for LA, open since 1975. Conflicting reports have it closing and moving sometime in the future to make way for a new mixed-use project on that property. On one hand, it most likely will close that location since the building and others around it will be demolished for the new development. On the other, the publicist says the restaurant will remain on Santa Monica Boulevard. Word to the wise: get your martinis, celeb sightings, steaks and summer lobster specials - four pounders for two for $79.95 through August 31, or get a five pounder today, August 1, for the same price - while you can. Or just hit the one Downtown. [WehoVille]

Another meaty tidbit from Wehoville: a steakhouse called The Horn will open later this year. Owners Daniel Cammarata and Adam Klesh want to bring a New York vibe and game meats to Boystown, which means farmed-raised venison, late-night hours (the menu will be available until 2 AM), a rooftop lounge, and an enormous collection of rhino-themed artifacts culled from 37 different countries. The goal is to open this fall (8933 Santa Monica Blvd.).
