Wexler's Deli Debuts at Grand Central Market

The Grand Central Market is getting better and better every week. Today we see the debut of Wexler's Deli, a new old-school deli from chef Micah Wexler and business partners Mike Kassar, with whom he owned the now-shuttered Mezze, and David Sanfield from the Pitfire Pizza chain. Wexler, a native Angeleno, created Jewish deli classics with a slightly modern twist for the kitchen and counter: things like pastrami and mustard on rye; corned beef on rye; roast turkey with slaw on Kaiser rolls; and Ruskie egg salad. He's making as much as he can in-house, from pickling to preserving and even trying his hand at bagels and house-curing lox and sturgeon to top them. You'll find sides like potato salad, pickles, chocolate babka and the deli-favorite black-and-white cookie that any Seinfeld fan will love, plus chocolate phosphates, egg creams and special bottled sodas. Wexler's Deli is open daily from 8 AM-6 PM.
