2 Booze Bashes to Binge on This YearBy Carissa Chesanek | January 6, 2014 By Carissa Chesanek | January 6, 2014
While getting ready for the infamous South Beach Wine & Food Festival is ranked high on our to-do list, we can't forget about taking part in two other major celebrations happening this year too - especially when spotlighting on booze.
On February 1, Sun Life Stadium will host the 2nd Annual Miami Beer Festival. From 1 PM-5 PM, local breweries like Wynwood Brewing Company and Florida Beer Company will team up with national ales such as Sam Adams and Red Hook to offer unlimited pours accompanied by information on how and where it’s brewed. Food trucks such as Latin Burger and Taco and The Empanada Truck will be onsite providing food for an additional cost. The price for general admission is $40 or $50 for VIP entrance, which includes specialty beers offered an hour before the public. Tickets can be bought here.
Then come April, head to the weekend long Miami Rum Renaissance Festival at the recently renovated DoubleTree by Hilton. On April 25-27, the world’s largest rum festival will offer its guests over 200 different rums including Blackbeard Spiced and Don Papa, along with rum-focused seminars and the official RumXP competition. Tickets are $50 for general admission grand rum tasting, $75 for daily VIP (includes early access, free tasting glass and admission to seminars) or $150 for a three-day VIP pass (all can be purchased here).
