5 Ways to Celebrate the Fourth of July in Miami

By Carissa Chesanek | July 1, 2014 By Carissa Chesanek  |  July 1, 2014

While America might be home of the brave, Miami is home of the parties. Celebrate the Fourth with these five fetes.

All week long, Dadeland's Earl's Kitchen + Bar offers $7 double mojitos and $2 off regularly priced bubbles. Come Friday, the Vancouver transplant serves $4.50 Stars & Stripes cocktails (pictured) to patriotic patrons.

The Hotel of South Beach honors Independence Day with a high-energy barbecue on its rooftop pool deck starting at 7 PM, with DJs, festive sips and a perfect view of the fireworks at 9 PM.

South Beach's Shore Club hosts a posh party on the Fourth, starting at 8 PM inside its upscale, three-story penthouse with private pool, featuring passed bites, an open vodka bar (score!) and fireworks watching. Tickets are $50 per person here.

The Dutch hosts its All-American Cookout on its patio on Wednesday, July 2, at 7 PM. Tongue & Cheek's Jamie DeRosa teams up with the American eatery's own chef de cuisine Conor Hanlon to cook up messy dishes like Texas-style smoked beef brisket alongside $2 PBR Tall Boys. Tickets are $40 per person here.

Brickell's popular OTC offers its well-known weekend brunch a day early on Friday, July 4, from 11 AM-3 PM, with bottomless mimosas and hearty a la carte options like Elvis French toast made with nutella, bacon, peanut butter and bananas. Call for reservations, 305-374-4612.
