9 Miami Food Events You Shouldn't Miss This Summer

The humidity is rising and the food scene isn't cooling down here either in Miami. Here are nine food-focused events taking place this summer - mark your calendars.

South Beach's infamous Joe's Stone Crab hosts Claws for Kids charity event on June 1, starting at 11:30 AM. Guests will feast on the venue's signature stone crabs among other select menu items, and the proceeds help go toward the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade in South Beach. Tickets are $200. Pompano Beach Fine Food & Wine Event will be held June 3, 5:30-9:30 PM, at The Hillsboro Club. The annual festival features food samplings from various local restaurants along with specialty cocktails and a live auction. Tickets are $60 per person and can be bought here.

Sabvor Iberica Food & Wine Exhibition 2014 occurs inside Downtown's Miami Culinary Institute on June 10. Starting at 5:30 PM, fairgoers will get a chance to try several different Spanish wines complemented by authentic Spanish dishes friom local restaurants. Tickets are $35 per person and RSVP is required here.

The seventh annual Coral Gables Restaurant Week happens from June 9-29. For three weeks, participating restaurants like Bulla Gastrobar, Ortanique On the Mile and Swine Southern Table & Bar (pictured) will offer guests exclusive three-course lunch and dinner menus (ranging from $15 to $48 per person). Magic City Casino hosts the Wheelin' Dealin' Street Food Festival (pictured) on June 21 from 5-10 PM. The monthly mobile round up offers an abundance of street eats from trucks like Da Burger Shack and Marlie’s Delights along with a plethora of beers. There is no admission fee. Taste of the Nation South Florida hits Loews Miami Beach Hotel on June 17 from 7-9 PM. Around 50 different restaurants from Broward and Dade are slated to participate, offering guests small plates of their tastiest menu items. Local sommeliers and mixologists will also be onsite to provide the perfect pairings. Tickets start at $125 per person and can be bought here.

On June 18 at 7 PM, the local food tour Culinary Crawl hits the Coconut Grove neighborhood, visiting three restaurants in the area (kept secret until that day) to sample different plates (drinks not included) with fellow foodies. Tickets are $45 - get them here

The Miami Fine Beverage Chocolate & Food Show is held inside The Moore Building in the Design District on July 26 from 8 PM-midnight. Guests will enjoy decadent sweets (like truffles and ganache) from onsite chocolate makers and dishes from 30 local restaurants, accompanied by wines, beer and cocktails. Tickets are $125 per person. The popular Miami Spice takes over the restaurant scene again from August 1-September 30. Various venues from Miami's hottest neighborhoods will offer prix fixe menus ($19-$23 lunch; $33-39 dinner).
