Best Burgers in Miami: Honorable Mentions

By Carissa Chesanek  |  August 26, 2014

The people have spoken — and now we officially know the best burgers in Miami. But what about the runner-ups? From cult favorites to cheap eats, here are seven burgers that just missed the mark.

1. Bourbon Steak's Original All Beef

While the chops might be the selling point at this Michael Mina steakhouse, the signature dry-aged beef patty is worth a visit. It's topped with gooey cheddar, balsamic onions and the addictive "secret sauce."

2. Wolfgang's Steakhouse's Classic Burger

The sleek Downtown steakhouse with killer bay views serves a standout traditional burger with lettuce, tomato and onion. Bonus: it comes with thick-cut fries and onion rings.

3. Kush Wynwood's LoKal

This Wynwood newbie boasts solid burger choices, including this patty (named after the original Coconut Grove burger joint), piled with avocado, housemade honey mustard and local tomatoes.

4. 5 Napkin Express's Cheeseburger

South Beach's hole-in-the-wall burger counter offers smaller versions of burgers from its sister restaurant and next-door neighbor, 5 Napkin Grill. It only takes one hand to hold this classic cheeseburger (and four napkins to clean up).

5. Cheeseburger Baby's Original Cheeseburger

Known as the oldest burger spot in the area, this South Beach landmark offers a standout cheeseburger with a selection of cheeses, from American to pepper jack.

6. Pincho Factory's Double Pincho Burger

The low-key Westchester eatery gets raves for its signature burger, made from chuck, short rib and brisket and piled high with crispy potato sticks, housemade sauce and two slabs of meat.

7. Tongue & Cheek's Cheek Burger (pictured)

If you haven't tried the burger at this SoFi gem, you're missing out. It's cooked to perfection, topped with cheddar-pimento cheese and sweet onions and sandwiched on a soft brioche bun made in-house.
