Best Thing We Ate: Mediterranean Slider Sampler

By Carissa Chesanek | January 6, 2014 By Carissa Chesanek  |  January 6, 2014

Over the weekend, we stumbled upon the recently opened hidden gem Mina’s Mediterraneo. Tucked away in Upper East Side, this warehouse-like space offered a lively atmosphere, cozy ambiance and some of the tastiest sliders we’ve ever tried. We opted to get the Mediterranean slider sampler that allowed us to try all four buns on the menu including falafel with Israeli salad, grilled chicken mixed in a garlic sauce, lamb burger with harissa and our favorite: gyro served with tzatziki.

Another must-try standout dish: the baked beef Bourguignon made with braised sirloin in a wine sauce that's covered with thick, buttery mashed potatoes. The strong meaty aroma had us salivating the moment it was placed on the table.
