Bocce Bar Opening This Friday in Midtown

By Carissa Chesanek | December 11, 2013 By Carissa Chesanek  |  December 11, 2013

Samba Brands Management's new Bocce Bar is set to open this Friday, December 13, in Midtown - and it's bringing Miami's first official bocce court with it.

The restaurant's Italian small-plates menu, created by Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill’s chef Timon Balloo, includes items like burrata with pickled eggplant, housemade orecchiette with duck sugo and and brick-roasted Cornish hen with Taggia olives. As for drinks, expect a large selection of wines and handcrafted cocktails, like the signature Bocce Ball made with Amaretti Di Bocce, mandarin vodka and almond.

The dining room is decorated with antique European tiles and a reclaimed wood stand-up counter, while the large front patio showcases the garden and bocce court. There's also a small market selling olive oils and pastas.

This is the fourth venture in the region from the restaurant group, following SushiSamba Miami Beach, Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill and SushiSamba Coral Gables.
