Dinner Pairings: Buehler Wines and Brooklyn Brews

Two prime dinner pairings are coming up next week. First, The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions kicks things off by hosting a multi-course Brooklyn Brewery beer dinner on December 11 at 7 PM. A special Brooklyn Kriek aperitif (a brew made with cherries) is served during the first half hour, followed by a feast of scallop crudo, glazed pork wings with andouille sausage, and grilled rib-eye with crispy Brussels sprouts. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased here (305-758-9559).

Then on December 12 from 7 PM to 10 PM, Stephen Starr’s Steak 954 presents a five-course menu paired with Buehler Estate Wines. The evening begins with passed tapas (such as tuna tacos with foie gras), then moves onto the main courses: crispy Long Island duck confit with black beluga lentils, yellowfin tuna steak with parsnips, and lamb chops with lamb bacon. Lastly for dessert, a wild strawberry soufflé is served with honey rosé frozen yogurt. Reservations are required, and tickets are $100 (954-414-8333).
