Guy Fieri Hangs Out at The FederalBy Carissa Chesanek | January 9, 2014 By Carissa Chesanek | January 9, 2014
Last week, Guy Fieri made his way around Miami in search for the Magic City’s mot unique hole-in-the-walls for his Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. While there’s been lots of talk about his big appearance at Sakaya Kitchen, what some might not know is that he also checked out The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions - and we got the full scoop on his visit.
General manager Aniece Meinhold told us the that platinum blonde Food Network star was “amazing,” “down to earth” and “complimentary” of the cuisine this cozy tavern serves, especially the venison chili which he called, “a chili experience."
Meinhold also told us that Fieri chatted with her business (and real life) partner chef Cesar Zapata, giving him solid tips and positive feedback about what called a very unique food style.
While Fieri was at the restaurant last Tuesday, The Federal team closed its doors over the weekend to finish up interviews and work with the producers. The Upper East Side hot spot is now back up and running at its normal business hours, and we're ready to get back in there to toast to the team's all-star review.
