Lincoln Road's Meat Market Opens Puerto Rico OutpostBy Carissa Chesanek | January 30, 2014 By Carissa Chesanek | January 30, 2014
Last weekend, we had the opportunity to check out the recently opened Meat Market outpost in San Juan, Puerto Rico - the first locale outside of South Florida. The upscale steakhouse located inside the elite El San Juan Resort & Casino had a bustling early dinner crowd, but an even more impressive late-night gathering.
The interior holds a very similar modern chic feel as the original South Beach locale, which made us feel right at home. Warm, neutral tones were found throughout the spacious dining room that featured comfortable sink-in-your-seat booths paired with large candle-lit tables.
As for the menu, chef Sean Brasel is keeping it very close to what we're used to here in Miami, offering premium cuts of meat and fresh seafood, including a plethora of raw bar items - think crudos, ceviches and truffle-infused oysters.
While the lighter shellfish fare was refreshingly satisfying, this steakhouse is all about the meats, including its 18-oz. center cut New York steak and coffee crusted buffalo tenderloin served with mole butter.
Expect classic Meat Market dessert offerings too, including sweet treats like the chocolate molten cake with salted caramel ice cream, hazelnut creme brulee and chocolate peanut butter bar.
