Landmarc and BLT Steak's 10 Year Anniversaries, MoreBy Billy Lyons | February 27, 2014 By Billy Lyons | February 27, 2014
10 Year Anniversary Alert: Marc Murphy's first restaurant, Landmarc in TriBeCa, will celebrate its 10 year anniversary on March 6. The restaurant is commemorating the occasion with a special four-course $100 per person dinner along with complimentary champagne for the evening, with dishes like roasted marrow bones and spaghetti ala carbonara served family-style.
In other birthday news, BLT Steak also is celebrating ten years in Manhattan by offering specials at all other BLT locations this coming Monday March 3. Though the restaurant will be closed for a private celebration, guests can enjoy appetizers like Caesar salad and grilled double-cut smoked bacon for just over three dollars. Select side dishes, desserts, and drinks will also be offered for the same price, with main courses and burgers available for a fraction of their original cost. Participating locations include BLT Fish, BLT Prime, BLT Bar and Grill, and BLT Burger.
Manhattan Closings: Manzanilla Spanish Brasserie, the Murray Hill restaurant from Boqueria's Yann de Rochefort and award winning chef Dani Garcia, will shut its doors permanently after tonight's dinner service. The year-old venue was one of the more talked-about openings of 2013, but wasn't a hit with select critics, including Pete Wells, who awarded the restaurant one star. As a farewell gift to loyal patrons, the restaurant's entire wine list will be half off for those planning on visiting for a final fiesta. [via Eater]
Queens Closings: Long time Rego Park institution Joe Abbracciamento Restaurant & Catering is calling it quits after six decades in business. The Italian specialist, whose customers included former President John F. Kennedy, will serve its last meal on Sunday. [via DNAinfo]
