All You Need to Know About NYC's Negroni WeekBy Billy Lyons

Though we don't need a particular reason to remind ourselves to enjoy a classic Negroni, it's nice to know there are fellow fans of the gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth-based cocktail. In fact, some of those nice folk gathered some major mixologists to partake in Negroni Week, which should make for a fun weekend activity. Running through June 8, bars from around the world are mixing up Negronis for our pleasure, with a portion of sales headed toward unique charitable causes. Here's all you need to know about how to kick back and appreciate a piece of cocktail history.
The Gist: For the remainder of the week, participating bars will donate a portion of Negroni sales to charities including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Food Bank for New York City. Select bars will be putting their own spin on the Negroni, while others will stay true to form and execute the original recipe.
Participating bars: From speakeasies to Southern joints, the city's top cocktail destinations (like PDT and Dram) are all taking part in the promotion. Under-the-radar bar spots like The Redhead are on the lineup, as well as top steakhouse Dylan Prime, ensuring we have our pick no matter what mood we're in. (See a full list of participants here.)
Feature Cocktails: Ward III is serving a barrel-aged Bulldog Negroni, while Milk & Honey is adding a little Dale's Pale Ale to top off their rum-based Last Call Negroni. If you're a seasonal drink aficionado, The Clover Club is using strawberry-infused Campari and Aperol with its gin and vermouth.
Negroni Desserts: We don't even have to drink this week to get that taste we know and love. Saxon + Parole offers a gin-infused orange mousse with Negroni pearls and Negroni sorbet with vermouth foam, a sweet, fitting end to what is sure to be a relaxing weekend.
