The Best Thing We Ate: Lamb Ribs at Dover

The Dish: Lamb ribs with eggplant, peanuts and mint

The Price: $28

The Setting: Dover, the new restaurant from Battersby chefs Joseph Ogrodnek and Walker Stern, is the duo's second Carroll Gardens spot. Like the original, it's very, very hard to get into - though it is far more spacious.

Tasting Notes: Saigon-via-the-Deep South, this dish mixes the meat cut of the moment (lamb ribs are must-order items at Estela and Shalom Japan) with a Vietnamese style dressing. One their own, flavors aren't unique, but the combo is - the lively tart and sweet dressing cutting through the crispy-outside, sticky-soft-inside lamb like a scalpel through butter.
