With City Kitchen, Times Square Gets Much-Needed Gourmet Food Court

Further proliferating the trend of gourmet indoor food courts/markets, City Kitchen brings a much-needed pack of nine gourmet vendors to a neighborhood desperately in need of solid lunch options. You can grab lobster rolls from Luke's, doughnuts from Dough, sushi from Azuki, burgers from Whitmans and seasonal options like Wooly's shaved ice and Sigmund's Pretzels. Also at City Kitchen, a new concept from the Ippudo folks called Kuro Obi featuring ramen bowls, Gabriela's fish tacos, and another outpost of Madison Square Park Lebanese favorite, Ilili Box. Decor-wise, there's a pronounced industrial feel with white subway tile, steel and leather stools, reclaimed wood, marble countertops and statement Italian glass chandeliers. There are three entrances to City Kitchen on 8th Avenue and one from within the Row NYC hotel.
