First Look: Bo's Brings NOLA to the FlatironBy Anne Roderique Jones | October 31, 2013 By Anne Roderique Jones | October 31, 2013
New Orleans isn't only popping up on Top Chef these days, but in a number of NYC kitchens. A couple weeks back we spotted The Infirmary, a soon-to-come Creole/Cajun joint on the Upper East Side, and now we pay a visit to Bo's in the Flatiron District, which is offering its own take on Crescent City fare. Chef Todd Mitgang (Crave Fishbar) is preparing dishes like a rich salad with celery root, baby turnip, rémoulade, French feta and brûléed fig, and torched red snapper crudo with hot sauce and crispy okra. Some of the cocktails come in "coupes," like the Jewels Pecules with vodka, St. Germain, strawberries and Prosecco. It's a casual spot for dinner and drinks, whether you're soaking up the atmosphere at the long, handsome bar, or lounging on the comfy banquettes in the dining room. Take a peek at some of the beauts below.
