First Look: Quality Italian, Now Serving in MidtownBy James Mulcahy | July 31, 2013 By James Mulcahy | July 31, 2013
The team behind stylish steakhouse Quality Meats debuted its folllow up effort last night: Quality Italian. Also designed by AvroKO, the swanky haunt will dish out what's being dubbed "Italian steakhouse fare," meaning you can expect more than just pasta. There are four dining rooms decorated with butchering tools that were sourced from turn-of-the-the-century meat shops, along with a two-story wall of windows where you can scope the action on 57th Street and Sixth Avenue (the new eatery is around the block from its sister restaurant).
The extensive menu features dishes like a roasted veal shank for two and beefy offerings like a bone-in sirloin which is $45 - see the food offerings here (like Quality Meats, this place isn't cheap). For dessert, the mandatory order should be the zeppole workshop, which gives you balls of fried dough that you can go dip-crazy with on the accompaning tray (pictured below). QI is now open at 57 West 57th Street (212-390-1111).
