Recent Thailand import Somtum Der serves up genuine Northeastern Thai flavors at incredibly affordable prices in the East Village. We had a chance to check out the menu last night, and we must say: it's a win. From the spicy papaya salad with a carefully placed salted egg, to the Der-style fried chicken thighs - this warm, communal space is a serious 'get-there-now-cause-there's-gonna-be-a-line' kind of place.
