First Look: Tacuba from Julian Medina Opens in Astoria

Mexican chef and restaurateur Julian Medina has partnered with Louis Skibar and Brian Sobhan to open his first outer-borough eatery, Tacuba, in Astoria, the seventh in his empire. The Mexican cantina concept will feature an array of tacos include spicy lobster, carnitas, octopus and even grasshopper, ceviches available solo or in trio (fluke, shrimp, etc.) as well as larger plates like fried whole red snapper, enchiladas and fajitas. Check out the menu and a few photos below. Cocktails include margaritas, palomas, signature cocktails (including some communal options) as well as tequila flights, beer and wine. Tacuba is open for dinner now with brunch and lunch to follow.
