By Billy Lyons  |  April 11, 2014

Coming Soon: The owners of Bathtub Gin are planning to open their first restaurant together as part of the recently renovated Sohotel New York. Opening in May, Bacchanal will serve a menu influenced by French, Italian, and Spanish cuisine, with former Apiary chef Scott Bryan at the helm. A few items guests might find on the menu include hand carved Iberian ham, crudos, and sweet breads, while a well developed wine list focused on traditional European wine making practices will be available. Chef Shuffles: After 16 years of manning the grills at Danny Meyer establishments, North End Grill Executive Chef Floyd Cardoz announced he is leaving Union Square Hospitality Group. The company noted the chef was leaving to pursue "personal culinary projects," which include a cookbook as well as "projects in India". Though a date has not been announced regarding Cardoz's departure, it is expected that the chef will remain on board until a replacement has been named.   [Eater]

Reopenings: Ililli Box is returning to the outskirts of Madison Square Park this Monday and will be open for business beginning at 11 AM. Ilili's Lebanese style street food outpost will offer several new items, including a kale fattoush salad and a daily sandwich of the day, with duck shawarma and a pressed chicken sandwich making their return.
