GRACE Irish Pub Opening in Kips BayBy Anne Roderique Jones | August 20, 2013 By Anne Roderique Jones | August 20, 2013
GRACE, the newest Irish pub to hit Kips Bay, will be opening Labor Day weekend. The bar will pay homage to Grace O’Malley, Ireland's 16th century “Pirate Queen” and all-around lady badass. Its cocktail menu has been created by 12 of New York’s top female bartenders, including Eryn Reece (Death & Co. and Mayahuel), Ms. Franky Marshall (The Dead Rabbit and The Tippler), Ivy Mix (Clover Club and Speed Rack co-founder), Jane Danger (The NoMad), Jane Elkins (formerly of Booker & Dax), Lucinda Sterling (Middle Branch), Lynnette Marrero (Speed Rack co-founder), Meaghan Dorman (Raines Law Room) and Pamela Wiznitzer (The Dead Rabbit). In addition to what will surely be a top-notch cocktail program, GRACE will serve a seafood-focused menu, along with craft beer, wine and spirits that highlight the Elizabethan era, including gin, brandy, Irish and Scotch whiskies, sherry and aged rum.
