King Cole Bar May Partner With John DeLucieBy Beth Landman | July 29, 2013 By Beth Landman | July 29, 2013
The legendary King Cole Bar in the St. Regis closed for renovation earlier this summer, and Zagat has learned the hotel is in negotiation with chef John DeLucie about taking over food service. The chef who co-owns The Lion, Crown and Bill's, referred us to the hotel's PR rep, Meg Connolly, who said she expected a deal for the room would be in place in the next week or two. "We can't discuss details because no contract has been signed,'' she maintained. Even though the partnership hasn't been confirmed, it makes sense. The chef has experience working with other historic spots - his just-opened hotspot Bill's is located in the Midtown townhouse that used to host legendary bar Bill's Gay Nineties.
