Michael White's Ristorante Morini Opens TonightBy Billy Lyons | December 17, 2013 By Billy Lyons | December 17, 2013
Michael White's resolution for 2014 should probably be to sit back and relax. Ristorante Morini, White's third new New York City restaurant that opened this year (he also opened one in Washington DC), is officially accepting its first dinner reservations starting at 5 PM tonight. The 130-seat dining room specializes in regional Italian cuisine, with dishes like Marsala-braised snails and caviar, plenty of crudos and pastas, including beef shank ravioli. Highlights from the main courses include lobster-filled calamari and a pan-roasted veal chop. The bi-level space also has a 35-seat bar area downstairs. The restaurant is expected to begin brunch service in the new year, with lunch hours to follow shortly thereafter.
