NYU Students Launch Cronut Delivery ServiceBy James Mulcahy | October 4, 2013 By James Mulcahy | October 4, 2013
You still can't get them on Seamless, but a crafty bunch of NYU students has started a delivery service to bring you Dominique Ansel's sought-after treats. Recent accounts from the SoHo bakery indicate that the lines aren't as crazy as they were in the summer, but if you're going to show up for the donut-croissant hybrids, you can still expect to wait. Other delivery services have popped up around town, but as NYU Local noted, this is the first one run out of a college. Fittingly, the young entrepeneurs have dubbed their operation the "Collegiate Cronut Service" and they're charging $80 for two Cronuts, plus a $5 transit fee. Oh, and for the record, the October flavor is apple crème fraîche.
