Creative Pizzas and Calzones Coming to Clinton HillBy Billy Lyons | January 6, 2014 By Billy Lyons | January 6, 2014
Matthew and Emily Hyland, a husband and wife team who ran an online campaign to raise funding for a pizza oven, are planning a January 22 debut for their first solo restaurant together, Emily. Matthew Hyland, who previously collaborated with Roberto Patriarca at Park Slope pizzeria Brooklyn Central and spent time at The Spotted Pig, will focus on original pies with toppings like honey and pistachio along with fresh pastas and salads. For dessert, we're already salivating over the thought of a graham-cracker dusted calzone stuffed with marshmallows and chocolate. The restaurant will also feature a full bar and a chef's table within the open kitchen available for select reservations.
