Sant Ambroeus Expands to SoHoBy Billy Lyons | January 10, 2014 By Billy Lyons | January 10, 2014
Though hotel guests will have to wait a little while longer for the expanding Sant Ambroeus Italian restaurant and cafe chain to open at the revamped Loews Regency Hotel, its new SoHo outpost is currently pouring out espresso for weary travelers. The restaurant, which opened January 2, continues the group's dedication to Milanese style cuisine. The SoHo location also has a separate bar menu of small bites to accompany wines by the glasses and original cocktails not available at other locations, like the bollicine, a sweet drink with biscotti, prosecco and chocolate bitters. Though the downtown spot won't offer afternoon tea service like its Madison Avenue counterpart, java addicts looking to enjoy a cup of cappuccino will be able to do so throughout the day, as the coffee bar's hours of operation will mirror that of the restaurant.
