Steve's Pie, Fabipops Sweeten Up Barclays Center

Now that basketball season is officially underway, fans of the Brooklyn Nets will once again descend upon the Barclays Center to get a look at the team’s revamped lineup. But this season’s newly acquired players like Kevin Garnett aren’t the only unfamiliar faces fans will see in the building. As part of the Brooklyn Taste program, 18 new local vendors will join returning favorites like Habana and Fatty 'Cue to offer the crowd a chance to eat their way through even more of the borough. The newcomers, which include Red Hook's Steve’s Authentic Key Lime Pies, Park Slope's Fabipops and even a longtime Greenpoint produce purveyor called Lucky's Real Tomatoes, will present a wide sampling of Brooklyn’s diverse food offerings. The grand total of Brooklyn-based businesses at Barclays has now climbed to 55. With all of those possibilities, you might just forget there’s a game going on inside. -Billy Lyons
