The Insider gets the first details on George Sabatino’s first solo venture, a project he has been teasing since he left Stateside last winter. Along with his wife, Jennifer, who will oversee the bar, he’ll open Aldine Restaurant in the second floor space at 1901 Chestnut this spring.

Four Corners Management will close current occupant Noche after New Year’s Eve to make way for the new restaurant - Sabatino has been working as chef for the company since May, first at Morgan’s Pier and right now at the Waterfront Winterfest pop-up by the Delaware.

As is the current trend, Sabatino doesn’t give Michael Klein a label for the type of food he plans to serve, mentioning only that it will be “value-driven and chef-driven.” Click over to read more and stay tuned for additional details on what’s sure to be an upgrade for 19th and Chestnut.
