Get Merry at Bar Ferdinand Merienda Happy HourBy Danya Henninger
September 17, 2013 By Danya Henninger | September 17, 2013
As of this week, NoLibs tapas house Bar Ferdinand is making happy hour a five-day phenomenon and also adding some new plates from chef David Ansill to the deals. Merienda is the Spanish term for “afternoon snack” (of course they have a special word for it), and the 5-7 PM weekday offerings are found on the “Merienda 4 for 4” menu.
As you can guess from the title, items in all four categories on on the list - Vino (wine), Sangria, Cerveza (beer) and Tapas - go for just $4 each. Tapas options include roasted mussels with rosemary and orange and buck-a-shuck oysters, along with mainstays like toasted Marcona almonds and house-marinated olives. If Liberties Walk is on your way back from work, this new deal is definitely worth a visit (215-923-1313).
