• [UPDATED] The Mildred in Bella Vista has closed. A statement from a rep says that partners Michael Santoro and Michael Dorrance have decided to part ways amicably. Santoro is now cheffing at hot vegan bar Charlie was a sinner in Midtown Village, and is "actively pursuing opportunities to open future restaurant projects of his own." One more quick downer: Branzino in Rittenhouse was raided by the IRS yesterday, per a Fox29 report, but the restaurant is already back open.
• On the other side of the news, a nanobrewery may be opening soon in Pennsport. Curbed noticed the description of the brewery and sit-down restaurant on a flyer for a civic association meeting South Philly, with regard to a large warehouse at 1800 East Moyamensing. Though there’s lots of local beer in the area, there hasn’t been a new brewery opening within city limits in a while, so this is an exciting possibility.
