Out to Lunch: Molly Malloy’s in Reading TerminalBy Danya Henninger | February 6, 2014 By Danya Henninger | February 6, 2014
Each week we’ll highlight a go-to option for a great midday meal
Reading Terminal Market is the obvious best place for lunch if you’re near the Convention Center or City Hall, but the huge selection can be overwhelming. If you’re looking for a sit-down meal with table service and possibly a beer, however, there’s only one choice, and Molly Malloy’s is it. You can choose to linger or get in and out in time to get back to the office, and chef Bobby Fisher always has interesting daily specials to try.
Perfect for: City Hall staff and court workers looking for a break, convention goers and out-of-town visitors looking to get off their feet
Dish you'll gush over: BBQ pork sandwich with cheddar and crispy onions
What to drink: One of 24 beers on tap (try the Evil Genius Naughty or Nice)
Be wary of: This is not the place to schedule your lunch meeting, since the din of the market can be very distracting
Best seat: In front of the taps at the bar, with a view gazing back at the sights and signs of RTM
