Jennifer and Andrew Satinsky have been kicking nascent Weckerly’s Ice Cream into high gear lately with a series of farmer partnerships for ultrafresh fruit, a cart outside their West Philly home in the Green Line Cafe and, now, a retail outlet in Center City.
Starting August 1, pints of Weckerly’s sorbet will be available at the Fair Food Farmstand in Reading Terminal Market. Jennifer learned her trade while pastry chef at the White Dog Cafe, and at the stand she’ll leave pints of strawberry-basil, blueberry and (of course) raspberry sorbet. If you want to try the dairy-free dessert, swing by the Farmstand on Wednesday between 11 AM-1 PM for a free sample.
