Sandwich Board: Buffalo Mac ‘n’ Chicken Cheesesteak

In the world of food mashups, one of the most obvious would seem to be a mac ‘n’ cheese cheesesteak, but somehow, we’ve never run into one. (Have you? Help us find one by leaving a comment.) At Sumo Steaks, Billy Creagh has skipped over that idea in favor of a three-way combo, and his the photo he sent has us scheming a visit to Allegheny and Lehigh Avenues.

The buffalo mac ‘n’ chicken cheesesteak is a Liscio’s roll stuffed with cheese, mac ‘n’ cheese, chicken tenders, buffalo sauce and bleu cheese crumbles. All that’s missing is the celery (and we’re really not sure celery needs to be in any hoagie, ever, so no worries there). The $7.50 price includes both fries and tax - might be worth a trip to North Philly (267-318-7379).
