It’s easy to overlook the desserts at Puesto, an eco-conscious Mexican street food chainlet that packs its menu with a variety of healthy and colorful tacos and salads. But if you peek through its slim selection of sweet offerings - including a frozen horchata and paletas - you'll see Puesto's version of Mexican fruit salad, aka the Mexican Street Bowl. And you should order it. Seasonal fruits such as watermelon, jimaca and pineapple are chopped into a thick julienne and mixed with cucumber and dried pieces of potent mango. A squeeze of lime, drizzle of chili and a sprinkle of crunchy sea salt complete the uniquely Mexican sweet-savory-spicy dessert. It's simple, delicious and good enough to double as a side dish for your potato soy chorizo, or any taco, for that matter.
