Fillmore Bakeshop Makes Kronuts

San Francisco's Fillmore Bakeshop has taken a cue from the cronut craze created by Dominique Ansel in New York, reports Inside Scoop SF. The original croissant-donut hybrid is still difficult to procure, requiring standing in line before 7 AM daily for a shot at one. Fillmore Bakeshop's version is also a fleeting proposition since it is only sold for an hour (or less) beginning at 9 AM on Saturdays and you can only purchase four at a time. The Bay Area's other main attempt at a cronut, Posh Bagel's cronot, has not received good reviews in its short life, but the high quality of Fillmore Bakeshop's daily offerings gives the kronut a good chance of success.
