ICHI, Commonwealth & More Join Stones Throw For Charity Dinners

Russian hill gem, Stones Throw, just announced the stellar summer lineup of chefs and restaurants to be featured in its next round of "Eat Like a Chef, Drink Like a Somm" dinners. A guest chef and sommelier comes in for each dinner to offer food and drink that's just like what they would on a night off. (And if the pictured trotter we had at the special AQ charity dinner in March is any indication, these chef's eat very, very well on their nights off.)

As we mentioned earlier, the dinners go down on the last Monday of each month (from 6 to 8:45 PM) and 100% of proceeds go to SF-Marin Food Bank. The restaurant's staff volunteers the Monday morning before each dinner and — in a cool move — they invite the restaurants they're cooking with to volunteer with them. All week long, they also host a food drive for non-perishable donations and diners are encouraged to bring whatever they can to the dinners. Here's a look at the chef's on tap:

June 30: Perbacco's Co-Owner/Chef Staffan Terje; Co-Owner/Wine Director Umberto Gibin
July 28: 1760's Chef Adam Tortosa and Sommelier Gianpaolo Paterlini; Verbena's Chef Sean Baker and somm, Michael Ireland
August 25: Commonwealth's Chef Jason Fox; sommelier Francesca Maniace
September 29: ICHI Sushi + Ni Bar's husband-wife team Tim and Erin Archuleta

Each multi-course dinner is $75 per person. It's $50 per person for beverage pairings. Drinks may also be purchased a la carte. Purchase tickets here or through Sosh.
