Book Now: Taste of Potrero TodayBy Virginia Miller

It's for a great cause and it might be one of the most under-the-radar, awesome food events in San Francisco right now. Taste of Potrero, in its 4th year benefiting Daniel Webster Elementary School, is one big party, continuing to boast an impressive lineup of food and drink from Potrero, Dogpatch and beyond. The event is all about walk-around grazing and we've attended each year since inception, always impressed by the quality of tastes on offer.
Stalls serve up Peruvian bites from La Mar, those dreamy Neapolitan pizzas from Del Popolo, delights from the likes of Hog & Rocks, Hillside Supper Club and so many more. There's also a lot to sip on the bar front. Third Rail, Brass Tacks, Beretta, Comstock Saloon and a special VIP room with Trick Dog from The Bon Vivants are all on tap this year. A number of wineries are represented in the VIP room, including Furthermore and Waits Mast. Save room for dessert because Dynamo Donut & Coffee, Chile Pies (& Ice Cream) and Poco Dolce (VIP only) will all be in the house. This year the event happens at NWBLK, complete with "street performer"-style music from Gabriel Angelo (aka "the trumpet kid") and "the violin girl", Gabi Holzwarth, performing. Hop to it: there's a handful of tickets left here ($100 or $200 for VIP). PS: there's an online auction you can participate in whether or not you attend with auction items ideal for food and drink lovers.
