The ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter is known as Pi, a mathematical constant represented by the number 3.14. Today, March 14, is known in nerdy circles as Pi Day, a perfect time to eat pie or pizza. Here's where to go for "holiday" specials:

Dear Mom is offering sweet pies from some of the best bakers in the country today from 3:14-7 PM. Stop in for slice paired with a craft cocktail for $3.14. The menu includes crack pie from New York's Momofuku Milk Bar, caramel nut apple pie from Michigan's Achatz Handmade Pie Co. (no relation to Grant) and Reese's Peanut Butter pie from Mike's Pies in Florida. All pies are supplied by Goldbely

All Bay Area locations of Patxi's Chicago Pizza are offering a Pi Day takeout lunch special from 11 AM to 4 PM. You can grab a slice of stuffed or thin crust pizza and a soft drink for $3.14 (excludes tax and gratuity), which is far less than the usual $9.99 price tag.

Every day is Pi Day at Pi Bar. The restaurant's daily special consists of a slice of cheese pizza and the beer of the day for $6.28.
