Where to Eat Brunch This Weekend

Now in its eighth month of business, Sparrow Bar and Kitchen in the Upper Haight has nailed the savory/sweet balance on the weekend brunch menu. Dishes average around $9-14 and include warm bacon and egg salad, fried chicken and buttermilk waffles, Marin Sun Farms burger with bacon-jalapeno beer jam, French toast with hazelnut chocolate and caramelized banana and fontina and a blackberry-basil smash grilled cheese sandwich. Check it out from 10 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
