One of the pleasures of dining at Chinook’s is the view of the busy harbor at Fisherman’s Terminal, the experience seasoned by the salty tang of sea air.
The scenic setting is sure to put you in the mood for fish, and the restaurant’s got that going on for lunch and dinner, as well as weekend breakfast. They don’t call it brunch, because the doors open at the crack of 7:30, serving classic bacon and egg-type combos, pancakes and the famous huckleberry waffle as well as a couple of very cool cakes. There’s the signature salmon cake, flakes of wild fish bound together by seasoned breadcrumbs and fried golden, velvety hollandaise served on the side. That creamy sauce is poured on top of the terrific crab cake Benedict, a dish so rich you won’t want to eat again until… well, lunch.
