The city's appetite for doughnuts shows no signs of stopping as newcomer Von Doughnuts opened up shop on the Danforth strip during the holidays.
Von makes both yeast and cake doughnuts in 20 flavors (they rotate daily, check Facebook for daily updates). And it's the flavors that set this cafe apart from its competitors. Von's features some of the most interesting toppings we've seen on fried dough in this city, including coquito nuts, pickle, tequila, Jack Daniels, pepper corns, grilled pineapple and bacon.
Von also features dessert kabobs, skewered doughnut holes which are served plain with sprinkled sugar or coated in a glaze. The kabobs are served with a dipping sauce (rotates regularly).
