Chocoholic’s will soon be able to get their fix at NYC Max Brenner’s outlet in Bethesda Row. It’s slated to open any day now. The sleek shop, done up in chocolate brown, will solely serve sweets - no need to waste calories on savory preludes. We dropped by while construction was underway earlier this week and here’s what we found.

The chocolate bar is the center of the action. Guests can order and dine at the counter, or have their treats delivered to a table.

Riffs on dessert pizza, fondue, shakes and molten cake will tempt visitors, and additional chocolate can be drizzled on everything. Coffee as well as hot and cold chocolate drinks (natch) will be served.

  • Special utensils like an adult sippy cup for frozen drinks (pictured) are part of the schtick.

The cocoa-toned bookcases at the rear will be part of the chocolate shop. Cleverly packaged treats are a hallmark of the operation.

There will be an outdoor patio during the appropriate seasons.
