The big-time chef news just keeps rolling in today. Eater DC reports that onetime Jaleo executive chef John Paul Damato has been tapped to open Compass Rose Bar & Kitchen, a street foods-focused restaurant set to open late February at 14th and T streets NW.

The cozy restaurant set in a rowhouse next to Café Saint-Ex will specialize in international street foods as well as Georgian wines.

Compass Rose’s soon-to-open neighbor across the street, Lupo Verde, also announced a new chef today, as did Liberty Tavern in Clarendon.
