Former Range Chef Lands at Liberty Tavern

Two mysteries were solved at once today with the announcement that former Range chef de cuisine Matt Hill has stepped into the executive chef spot recently vacated at Clarendon's Liberty Tavern, Lyon Hall and Northside Social. Hill's split with Range was revealed earlier this month, and we learned of longtime Liberty Tavern chef Liam LaCivita's exit from the popular Arlington restaurant group Monday.

Eater DC reports that Hill will oversee all three restaurants in the group and Miljohn Dimaano, who previously served as sous chef at Liberty Tavern, is now chef de cuisine.

Hill has also spent time in the kitchens of Aureole in New York as well as Charlie Palmer Steak DC.
