All-You-Can-Eat Steak at BLT Steak's Roof Terrace

On Tuesday September 17, five top area chefs will fire up grills on BLT Steak’s roof terrace overlooking the White House. It’s an all-you-can-eat-and-drink end of summer fest, called 86 Summer, 86 Bucks. RJ Cooper (Rogue 24), David Guas (Bayou Bakery), Scot Harlan (Green Pig Bistro), Anthony Lombardo (1789) and their host chef, Jon Mathieson, will be grilling all manner of meats, fish and late summer vegetables in a good natured competition. Count on finding steaks sizzling and lots of backtalk and sass. Craft punches and cocktails, wine and beer will keep spirits high, while a popover bar will be handing out the restaurant’s signature hot bread. The event raises money for Children’s National Medical Center (6-11 PM; $86, go here for tickets).
